As a child, I loved playing with my cousins and friends. We would play all types of games, especially in the Summertime. We had big wheels, jump ropes, board games, scooters, and hula hoops, to name a few. This was way before video games, cell phones, computers, and social media. Back then, life was simple and fun!

March 2020, during the beginning of Covid-19, I was pregnant with our third child, due in September. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage. Everything was rapidly changing, in our world and worldwide.

Mid-summer we had a BBQ, to celebrate our daughter’s 3rd birthday and our son’s Kindergarten graduation. My step-mom came to the party with her hula hoop. My mother-in-law inquired about the hoop. My husband and I bought it as a birthday gift for my MIL. We also bought one for my sister-in-law and myself.

After a month of walking by it, I finally decided to use my hula hoop. Our estimated due date was approaching. I needed an outlet because it was a lot. That September day, I took the hoop outside to the park. It was THE first time, I didn’t think about Baby M. People in NYC stopped me with questions, memories and mostly smiles. The feeling I felt then is the same now, 3 1/2 years later. I know for sure, hula hooping chose me!

At Hula Hoop Fit 366; we use custom weighted waist and arm hula hoops for fun, fitness, marketing and promotion. We are transforming lives, 1 HOOP at a time!
